This year AT4T dares organize another edition of T4T Theatre Festival for Teenagers. In partnership with the National Theatre of Timisoara, the City Council and the Timis County Council, we dare you to take part between the 7th and 13th of April 2007 to the 9th edition of T4T. We dare you to perform on the stage of the National Theatre of Timisoara, for no more than 9x4 minutes, with a group whose members are aged between 14-19 years old. We dare you to accept this challenge and send by the 19th of December 2006 (postmark) to the following address: B-dul 16 decembrie 1989, nr 79, sc. C, ap. 44, et.10, cod: 300219, Timisoara, Timis County, Romania or to the following e-mail: E-mail, the application file containing:
• The title (9 letters) and the author of the play
• The script (no more than 9 pages)
• List of props, sound and lights requirements
• The cast
• A video recording (preferably on CD) with the highlights of the show (9 minutes) so that it will include all the characters in the play
• A director’s motivation emphasizing the originality of the group’s approach of the given theme (99 words)
We dare you to wait for the 9th of January, when the selection jury will notify all groups whether they have been accepted or not. We dare you to pay the participation fee of 50RON and damage fee of 20 RON, if you are selected.
The organizers dare cover the costs of accommodation and meals for 9 actors + 2 support crew members (light and sound) + 1 group coordinator (teacher or high school graduate). We dare you to ask as many questions as you want.
This edition’s theme the organizers dare you to use is “New Lamps for Oldâ€. We live the age of "been there, done that" sarcastic attitude. We watch 5 minutes of a show only to realize that we know exactly how it would end. We go through the same warm-up-concentration-trust-improvisation-fun-to-do workshop exercises only to go back to the same mistakes once we start working on another script for yet another festival. We agree with or strongly disapprove of the jury's feedback comments and decisions yet every time we come back for more, secretly hoping for prizes... Let's face it: we cannot avoid clichés. But what about undermining cliché from within?
What if we assumed clichés to turn them upside down, redesigning what everybody thought they knew all too well, be it a well-known story, a corny character or an obsolete theme... Here's our challenge for you: make it personal! Shake routine off teenage theatre performances! We dare you to read these lines carefully (more than 9 times, if needed) and send your application file to the 9th edition of T4T.
No one can reinvent the wheel, but you can certainly paint it purple or turn it anticlockwise when everybody else expects the opposite. We dare you to break through dead ends. We dare you to play with things that otherwise bore you to death. We dare you to keep us on the edge of our seats, wondering whether Juliet may wake up seconds after Romeo drinks the poison. We dare you to knock for the ninth time on a door you know is locked just in case someone might have opened it in the meantime... Take the old and make it new, borrow it and make it YOU!

trebuie sa fie in engleza piesa?!... a, si acolo scrie ca sunt locuri la mancare si cazare doar pt 9 actori, inca 2 care se ocupa cu sunetul si lumina si un coordonator de grup... asta ar insemna inca 2 locuri pt actori(presupun ca se va descurca Simona cu tot, cum a facut si pana aku ) (asta daca va mai fi Simona...)

da sa initiem campania o ora pt onestin........ ce se poate face in ora aia.postari sau sediu(da la sediu mai mult ....stiit tre sa renuntam la ceva in favoarea altei chestii...eu renunt la o ora de la scoala

Sincer sa fiu… mi-am pus si eu intrebarea Claudiei… Daca ei ca romania au trimis invitatia in eng. Oare si piesa ar trebui in eng? Ma voi interesa si eu. In rest, pare totul ok, numai sa nu fie acea cazare si masa bataie de joc.
